Blog Post 8, The Disconnect

Cold, clear mountain water emerges from the rock formations in the forested, high elevations. Overflowing the small pools, it streams downhill to unite with creeks, then larger cascading rivers. The water passes every dam, every obstacle, and escapes most attempts to be rerouted, on it's way to join the ocean.

Indeed, we can bottle water or confine it in pools, but this fluid, essential to every living organism, always has time on its side and will eventually return to the whole. What if the Universe, the All, encompassing everyone, everything, and all knowledge, shares the same properties as water? Consider these two questions: if this were the case, wouldn't we all be flowing from and toward the same ocean? Does our lack of conscious awareness of such a flow indicate that it isn't true, or could it suggest that we are all contained, like a pool of water, isolated from the flow?

At home, I sleep surrounded by the harmonious blend of hundreds of quartz, amethyst, and aquamarine crystals, enhanced by the energy from nearby rushing waters. Rivers and creeks carry infused vibrations gathered as they flow past miles of gem, mineral, and gold deposits. The Universe speaks loudly in the mountains, and its voice is even clearer once my conscious mind drifts into sleep. Recently, I set my intention before sleeping to receive a message that the Universe deems important to share. Hours later, I awoke with such a vivid mental image that it felt directly in my face. It was a square with a wide white frame. In the center, against a black background, were the large, bold, white block numbers 40464. What on earth did that mean?

Let me add another question to the previous two: if we're all part of a continuous stream of consciousness, like water, why didn't I instantly understand what my subconscious was trying to convey with the 40464? I do use this interpretive method: I give it time, avoiding any thought about the clue. Eventually, those numbers will resurface in my conscious mind. It's shortly after that I link it to whatever I'm contemplating. This process uncovers the intended message. Wait! This time, that's unnecessary. That WAS the message. The gap, the delay in comprehension! If that isn't an example of a disconnect, what is? As I explained in ESD-101, I've already experienced a fully connected flow, so I recognize the difference. Naturally, at this point, I'm once again dealing with the disconnect. The message 40464 signified that the Universe wanted us to ponder why we encounter the separation. When water is isolated from the flow, it's because it's trapped in a container. So, what disconnects the flow from us? It must be our container.

Before proceeding, rest assured that everything we encounter in Earth School aligns perfectly with the Universe's intentions. Earth School is where we shape our souls. Despite this, my upcoming revelation might cause some to shut their minds. Resist that urge! Keep reading. Our disconnection stems from our ego. Although I mentioned this in ESD-101, let me elaborate. Greater clarity can lead to better understanding.

The ego serves as the mechanism that directs our attention to our lessons. Without a tool like the ego, and with only a direct link to the subconscious, it would be impossible to split total awareness into distinct individual consciousness. Earth School acts as the environment where the All can divide itself to enhance and expand three-dimensional experiences. Ego is the crucial tool in Earth School. Without it, each student would neither evolve nor even exist.

The subconscious mind can subtly guide the conscious mind in making life choices. The ego, representing intellect, has the freedom to make decisions, thereby shaping a life based on these choices. When a soul decides to pursue a specific developmental path, the ego becomes attached to the people and things along that journey. Each path offers additional choices. The evolving soul is either refined or corrupted by these decisions. The most influential force in the Earth School is the ego. Each soul's selection process repeats endlessly through numerous lifetimes. Souls that eventually achieve purity in their refinement understand they no longer need the ego. They come to realize that without it, their soul will continue to be individually aware within the Universe's expressions, experiencing a vastly greater freedom.

After grasping the message conveyed by 40464, my curiosity led me to Google the number. Here's what appeared: 10x Lindy USB Port Lock: Code WHITE No. 40464. Interesting. Isn't that precisely what I just discussed, a Port Lock?
